Why Having A Strong Memory Is Not Optional

Having a strong memory in this day and age is more of a necessity rather than a nice flex.

It could really be the difference between life and death in certain situations. And I’m not referring to potential health problems like dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Before I expand more on that, here’s what I want you to list out and memorize by the end of the week.

  1. Your main debit card number + details.
  2. Your go-to credit card + details.
  3. A back-up credit card + details.
  4. Your passport number plus expiration date.
  5. Your ID number plus expiration date.
  6. Two emergency phone numbers.

Now comes the question why.

Picture this:

You’re in vacation having a good time when you find out all your belongings are stolen.

Passports, credit cards, laptop… the whole lot.

What would you do?

Or…

Imagine you get kidnapped and trafficked into a hostile country. You managed to escape captivity, but now how do you leave the country?

It’s a tough situation no doubt so let’s hope that never happens. But the best thing you can do is make it easier on yourself.

If you have your credit card number memorized, you’d be able to book a plane ticket online at a public computer.

You would also able to immediately report the loss of your card and cancel it quickly.

If you have your passport number memorized, you would be able to easily report the loss to the police or your embassy and expedite the replacement process.

If your passport loss is covered by travel insurance, your insurance provider will need your passport number to process claims. Memorizing it allows you to file these claims quickly.

If you have to admit to a hospital for a medical emergency they will need your passport or ID details for identification and insurance purposes. Having it memorized will streamline the process.

See how easy you could make it on yourself?

Ok… But I Can Store All That Info On My Laptop

You could make that argument. But imagine THEY were stolen too.

Think it’s far-fetched? That it won’t happen to you?

Think again.

Think about the people that it did happen to. Do you think they knew it was going to happen to them specifically?

No!

They, too, thought something like this would never happen to them.

Everybody thinks they’re somehow immune. And that’s where the real danger lies.

Your bank and ID information are the only numbers that allow you to exist as a human. It is worthwhile to take the time to memorize them.

Here’s the nice part.

It’s not that difficult.

We constantly reiterate that having a good memory does NOT require having a genius IQ. You just need to actually care about it and have a solid system in place.

Memory Mastery will help you develop those systems so you can memorize stuff like that and even the entire US Constitution if need be.

Our previous 4 posts already help a lot but there is WAY MORE to come.

Stay tuned.
